    David Blankenship

    After attending OSU and then running his own company for 8 years, David started his career in IT in the early 1990's at MicroAge in Oklahoma City. He held various sales and leadership roles at a number of companies including Stonebridge Technologies, The Rock Island Group, and SBC before accepting a position with Cisco Systems which moved him to Arkansas. After 10 years at Cisco he accepted a position at Pure Storage and later Extreme Networks and has now found a home at Aruba Networks, an HPE company. Shortly after moving to Arkansas David was asked to join the board of directors at AR HIMSS and has held nearly every board position including president. David is passionate about the chapter and started the AR HIMSS Annual Conference (which has grown to be one of the largest healthcare IT conferences in the state), over 10 years ago. He has two sons attending the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and lives with his wife, Lynn, "out in the woods" on 12 acres close to Hot Springs.

    Josh Johnson is a results oriented healthcare IT leader with more than 22 years of overall IT experience, including over 18 years of demonstrated leadership in healthcare IT initiatives (15 years in IT operations leadership, 3 years consulting). His expertise includes enterprise as well as ancillary system selections, contracting, procurement, implementation and project oversight, as well as IT strategic planning, enterprise-wide IT solutions, and IT operational management. Josh is passionate and driven to improve the health, health care, and well-being of patients and families by establishing IT strategies that build on core organizational strengths, provide continuous quality improvement, and facilitate transformational partnerships and programs.

    Cody Simon, CHP
    Account Manager and Healthcare Specialist

    Cody Simon has served on the AR HIMSS Board since 2017 and is passionate about giving back to the community. He has served on various boards and committees; Ronald McDonald House Charities, Rotaract Club of Little Rock, and serving the Little Rock Chamber through their Think Big Little Rock and Leads Group programs. Cody is an Account Manager and Healthcare specialist for the Central Arkansas Office of Datamax and is a Certified HIPAA Professional. He works to analyze, recommend and implement document workflow solutions for specific industry needs to help organizations achieve their technological goals.

    He was born and raised in Little Rock, AR and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Arkansas.

    Meghan Klein, RHIA
    Deficiency Analyst
    University of Arkansas Medical Sciences

    Meghan Klein has served on the AR HIMSS Board since 2019 and serves as Vendor Committee for ArHIMA since 2018. Meghan started out working as a Project Manager for a software company located in Little Rock for 2 years. Currently she is a Deficiency Analyst at UAMS and is a Registered Health Information Administrator. As an analyst her responsibility is to complete proper analysis and authentication of documentation for compliance with billing requirement.

    She was raised in Ohio and moved to Arkansas to attend Arkansas Tech University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Information Management and is currently attending Arkansas Tech University to earn her Masters of Science in Health Informatics.
